Increasing Home Value
- A Clemson University study found landscaping can result in more than a 100% return on investment. The report concluded that “Homeowners wanting to increase the value of their property will do well to consider
the cost-effective, return potential of quality landscaping, and to safeguard their investments by hiring

licensed, profes-sional landscape contractors to perform the work.”
- The return on investment is contingent upon the quality of the landscape installation. In other words, just because you spent $10,000 on landscape and garden plants doesn't mean you'll get that money back. It's important that you find the right landscaping designer / contractor for your project and use only high-quality materials. One hundred $10 plants purchased at the local hardware store doesn't have the same value as
ten $100 plants purchased at a quality nursery.

DESIGN / BUILD SERVICES - Whether a landscape is designed by a professional landscaper or an amateur,
certain elements form the basis of an effective design, resulting in the creation of a landscape that meets the needs, goals and desires of the users or owners.
The most important consideration and first step in landscape design is to determine how the landscape will be used, followed by budget concerns for the project. Budget constraints can be addressed by adjustments to the elements of the design fewer plants, less costly hardscape materials, seed rather than sod for lawns, less mature plants or create the landscape over time, area by area.
The elements of the landscape that have to be determined early include the layout of hardscape, such as paths, walls, water features, sitting areas and patios. Consideration is then give to the plants that will be selected for the project, their season to season appearance, growth habit, size, speed of growth, water and light needs or limitations. Other considerations in selecting plants are their maintenance needs and the time required for their regular maintenance, whether annual or perennial, bloom time, color and many other characteristics.
